Arrival

Hello friends and family,

We have safely arrived in Gdansk, Poland and have made our way through the snow to our cozy little apartment for two. We have met those who we will be working with while here: Dawid, Simona, Thea, Natalia, Voytek, Miki, and Pavo. This week is really just an orientation week. We are learning where to get groceries, how to catch the bus to go where we need to go, and getting tested to be able to work in the coffee shop.

Speaking of the coffee shop, it is absolutely amazing! The colors are rich and warm. The coffee bean is excellent and it is all made Italian style. The hours of the shop are Monday - Saturday 1pm-9pm. Today we are meeting at 3 to discuss ideas for outreach.

Dawid and Simona's vision for outreach is one that our generation is starving for: Living in community. It is only after forming relationships of trust and friendship that one is able to gain credibility to share our faith. No one want to have another's belief forced on them. Instead, by living daily with these people they begin to see a light, Jesus Christ, in us. Then conversations about the true meaning of life can begin.

We are so thrilled to be here and cannot wait to meet the people in the community. Please pray for our health as we are both a little under the weather. Also pray that God would reveal to us the way He would have us reach His people.
